To All Potential Boat Captains:

I'd like to thank you for considering participating as a Boat Captain on the Kids Fishing Day, scheduled for September 30, out of Kennedy Point Park in Titusville. I look forward to a great day of fun and friendship. If you decide to do this you agree to supply a boat, tackle, bait, and your sparkling personality in order to take out some kids who seldom get the chance to go fishing. Some of them have never been in a boat. The kids are teens, most between 12 and 15 years old. They have always been really well behaved.

You will have no more than three passengers in your boat. These passengers would include a maximum of two participants and one accompanying parent. Parents are not allowed to fish, they're observers only. (They seldom show up, anyway.) The kids are teens, most between 12 and 15 years old. They have always been really well behaved.

There is a limit on where you can go, namely, the Indian River Lagoon north of SR 520 in Cocoa. Please stay within the boundaries.

You will need to be ready to go from the dock at Kennedy Point Park (on US 1 just south of SR 50) at 8:55 AM, giving us time to go over these guidelines and give out assignments. The kids get there about 9:00 AM. We'll fish until 1:30 PM, then return to the dock for a hamburger barbeque, supplied courtesy of the Kiwanis Club of Orlando.
